I lost 8 pounds by doing these 5 things at home
For many people, weight loss can seem like an unobtainable goal that requires years of sacrifices and millions of dollars spent on specialized equipment. However, there are many simple and effective things you can do at home in order to shed pounds quickly and efficiently. Here’s how I lost 8 pounds in less than one month by doing these 5 things at home...
How I Lost 8 Pounds in a Month
1. I stopped eating sugary foods
2. I started eating more lean meats and vegetables instead of carbs for snacks.
3. I avoided dairy because it's hard to digest when you're overweight
4. I drink a lot of water every day
5. And I tried to be as active as possible during the day
How this blog helped me lose weight at home
I found this blog post on Pinterest and it really helped me understand how I can lose weight at home. It was so helpful because it gave me a list of five things that I could do to help myself lose weight, including cooking my own healthy food, tracking my calories, and drinking lots of water. It also talked about the importance of having a plan for what you are going to eat the next day. One thing that I liked is that it suggested getting your clothes ready the night before so they're easy to grab in the morning. I did all five of these things and then I weighed myself and I lost eight pounds!
The 7-day calorie limit diet
The first thing I did was figure out how many calories I should be eating in a day. Weighing myself and looking up my height and weight, I learned that I should be eating 1400-1600 calories a day to maintain my weight. So, I started counting. By sticking to this calorie limit, I cut out fast food (which would have been almost 1000 calories per meal), and ate primarily lean protein, vegetables, fruit, and whole grains. After 7 days on the diet, I had lost 8 pounds!
Eat Light Snacks to Help You Eat Right
1. Keep healthy foods in your pantry and refrigerator.
2. Eat smaller portions of low-fat, high-fiber foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, and lentils with every meal.
3. Drink plenty of water each day to stay hydrated and make it easier to digest food.
4. Limit alcohol consumption to no more than two drinks per day for women or three for men; this is equivalent to 10 ounces of wine for women or 12 ounces for men (a drink is defined as a 12-ounce beer or 11⁄2 ounces of hard liquor).
My self-discipline strategies
1. I make the decision to be healthy.
2. I drink a liter of water every day. 3. I sleep for 7-8 hours every night and wake up naturally without an alarm clock, eating breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up and not taking any medications that might disrupt my sleep pattern (unless it's for a medical reason). 4. I drink green tea in the mornings to kick start my metabolism, which helps me stay focused on my goals throughout the day and maintain healthy eating habits. 5.
How My Wife Helped Me Lose Weight
My wife has been my biggest supporter and I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. In order to reach my goal, she would cook me one meal for the day and make sure it was low in calories. She also helped me make sure that I was eating enough throughout the day and drinking plenty of water. My wife also offered to do more chores around the house so that I could stay on top of my work. It really means a lot to me that she has been so supportive through this process and I know it wouldn't have been possible without her help.
